Summer in Perth

Grab freshly baked croissants, gluten-free cakes or opt for some vegetarian options at the Fremantle Bakehouse. Head to the Fremantle Market for some hand-made clothing, locally made souvenirs and unique homewares. We got ourselves a cute illustration card of the quokkas by a local artist who runs the shop as well. Spend the evening winding down and watching the sunset at Cottesloe Beach. We recommend going earlier to get the best spot.

Just a short ferry ride from Perth City, head over to Rottnest Island and kick back on its soft sandy beaches or simply enjoy its picturesque views. Traverse the island by bus, train or bike. Meet the photogenic quokkas or go whale watching. There’s plenty of options and we recommend staying a night or two. Just don’t forget to load up on the sunscreen and water and enjoy a little ice cream treat.

Thought we'll take it easy on the last day after a full day of island exploring. Head to The Boat Shed for your Instagram shot. Brace yourself for the queue. Grab some doughnuts, enjoy an afternoon picnic and soak in the city view at King’s Park.
